About Us

School is a place to learn, to grow, to develop. It’s marketed as being fun. And for the most part, it is. That is, until stress intervenes. Students are the most common victims of stress. Their circumstances and lifestyles induce anxiety. These factors include family expectations, social statuses, deadlines, workload and overcommitment. While a mild amount of this stress does prove to be very useful as a motivator, too much stress interferes with and hinders daily activities. This often results in children turning to negative coping mechanisms; when built over time, this stress could lead to a plethora of serious problems, including depression, stress, and sometimes addiction to harmful substances.

Planxiety is an initiative that aims to help students understand and manage their stress and anxiety, especially caused by school pressure, in a constructive manner through various healthy coping mechanisms.
